In 1990, Paroc cooperated with the Technical Research Centre of Finland (VTT) in building the first low energy house in Espoo, which was to serve research and monitoring purposes.
The building is a single family house with a timber frame and stone wool insulation. The walls are insulated using 275 mm PAROC UNS 37 and 500 mm blowing stone wool PAROC BLT was used on the roof.
The house only consumes 50 % of the heating energy consumed on average by newly built single family houses in Finland. |
